PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily exchange a stained fingerprint reading window. SOLUTION: An opening 5 is formed in a part of a case K forming the outer housing of a fingerprint collating machine, and the opening 5 is covered by a cover member 4. The cover member 4 covering the opening 5 constitutes a part of the case K. An opening part 6 formed in the member 4 is covered by a window member 7 for fingerprint reading composed of a light transmitting member. The member 7 is arranged on the rear face side of the member 4 and flexibly held by legs for holding formed in the member 4. Two locking parts 21 and 22 are formed in the case K, and two engaging parts 23 and 24 are formed in the member 4 in accordance with them. The engaging part 24 is engaged with the locking part 22 and the member 4 is fixed to the case K by rocking the member 4 downward with the engaging part 23 inserted into the locking part 21. A supporting surface 37 supporting the member 7 upward can be formed in the case K.
