PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network managing device which speedily restores a network by automatically specifying the occurrence part of a fault caused in a network. SOLUTION: There are installed a data base means 10 for managing the correlation between the fault part of a network and the time sequential pattern of fault notice information which is to be issued when the fault occurs, an acquisition means 13 for acquiring fault notice information given from the network, a holding means 14 for holding the time sequential pattern of fault notice information that the acquirement means 13 acquires and a specification means 15 for specifying the fault part by collating the data of the holding means 14 with the management data of the data base means 10 and specifying the fault generated part on the network in accordance with the specified fault part and issued source information on the fault notice information that the acquisition means 13 acquires.
