PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration and breakdown of an insulating coating of a built-in resistor in seasoning processes or the like to thus prevent change of resistance for a resistance layer of the built-in resistor. SOLUTION: An electron gun comprises a plurality of electrodes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 constituting a three-electrode system or a main lens system, bead glasses 9a, 9b for supporting the plurality of electrodes, metal conductors 23, 13b for stabilizing the operation of the three-electrode system and a built-in resistor 22 arranged along the bead glass 9a. The built-in resistor 22 supplies a voltage generated on the resistance layer from a terminal portion of the metal conductor to the metal conductor 23 and the metal conductor 23 is arranged on the outer periphery of a portion of the built-in resistor 22, on which the terminal portion of the metal conductor is provided, in non-contact with any of the electrodes.
