PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat generating body that is thin and flexible and is made of SiC(silicon carbide) vaporized fiber by clarifying the temperature and electric characteristics of SiC vaporized fiber, and that can be used in high temperature and a actuator using the same as well as its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: SiC vaporized fiber is made by vaporizing SiC around the circumference of carbon core and by connecting with the electricity the SiC vaporized fiber generates heat.
