PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seam felt having a base fabric composed of a woven fabric texture of multiple weaving in such a way that the connection operation of end parts can be efficiently carried out and the distortion of connected part and the unevenness of a paper forming face caused by collapse of texture can be avoided. SOLUTION: This seam felt for paper making has a base fabric 1 composed of a woven fabric texture of multiple weaving provided with warps 4-7 in piles in the thickness direction in which a pair of the warps 4 and 5 in piles in the thickness direction are shaped by folding a beating yarn in the thickness diseases so as to form a connected loop 9, on the other hand, the residual warps 6 and 7 are shaped by making a beating yarn be caught by a weft 12 and folding the beating yarn without forming a connected loop. Especially the weft 12 by which the beating yarn is caught so as to fold the beating yarn without forming the connected loop is set not to be entangled with the warps 4 and 5 to form the connected loop.
