PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable technology of online reservation where efficiency of processing is achieved by automatically recognizing the characters of FAX contents. SOLUTION: A reservation server device S issues a user ID such as receiving number for each user, who desires reservation, and data expressing this user ID and desired conditions are disclosed to at least one or more than two suppliers such as hotels or theaters. Among the suppliers watching these data, a supplier, who approves the desired conditions, writes that user ID and returns it to the reservation sever device S by FAX and on the site, the characters of the user ID written in Arabic numerals are highly accurately recognized from that FAX and processing such as reservation transaction is performed. Before the final stage of a series of procedures, a user is identified by the user ID and personal information is hidden from the supplier. Thus, reliability in reservation is provided by improving recognition accuracy by limiting the object of character recognition of FAX to Arabic numerals and at the same time, personal privacy is protected as well. |
