PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device provided with the main storage of a large capacity for facilitating the increase of the main storage and mitigating the arranging/wiring constraints of a memory element inside the storage device. SOLUTION: A main storage memory 45 inside this storage device 4 stores main storage data and a main storage key for the data, the main storage data and divided into pages, main storage key data are prepared by a main storage data page unit and the internal constitution 5 of one entry of the main storage key data is indicated. A main storage cache 43 and a main storage cache directory 41 are provided for the main storage data, a main storage key cache 44 and a main storage key cache directory 42 are provided for the main storage key and both caches are respectively independently accessed from instruction or input/output processors 1 and 2. Also, a line change array 41-1 (LCA) provided with main storage memory reference/rewrite history information for the main storage memory present in the main storage cache and a main storage cache line change bit is included.
