PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material for wadding, capable of achieving the wadding having excellent functionality simultaneously having odorization- preventing deodorant properties with durability, antibacterial properties, mildewproofing properties and antifouling properties. SOLUTION: This raw material for the wadding, comprising fibers as an essential constitutional material is characterized in that the raw material has at least one of binder selected from alkyl silicate-based resins, silicone-based resins and fluororesins, and a photocatalyst on the surface of the fiber.
