PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily acquire a rotating angle of an output shaft of an internal combustion engine in stopping drive of the internal combustion engine and improve startability of the internal combustion engine in a vehicle furnished with the internal combustion engine and an electric motor for auxiliary driving. SOLUTION: An output time difference between an engine rotation signal pulse output by an engine speed sensor 53 and a motor rotation signal pulse output by a motor rotation number sensor 52 is stored by a control unit 60 as a signal time differenceΔt in the case when an engine rotational speed Ne is less than 400 r.p.m. The control unit 60 finds a stop rotating angle of a crankshaft 11 in accordance with an integrated value of a motor rotation signal pulse number and a signal time differenceΔt and stores it in a backup RAM in the case when an engine 10 stops. The control unit 60 discriminates a cylinder of a first compression stroke from the stored stop rotating angle and carries out fuel injection and spark ignition in restarting the engine 10.
