PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a photographing direction into desired direction, to watch a liquid crystal display at an angle easy to watch and to facilitate button manipulation at the time of photographing. SOLUTION: A main body 5 has the top surface, the bottom surface and first and second side surfaces mutually facing to link the top surface and the bottom surface. The bottom surface is made into plane and the camera apparatus can be placed on a desk or the like. The upper surface is notched almost in the shape of U and a camera part 8 having a lens storage part in the notched part is supported by a horizontal supporting shaft 6 so that the lens part can be turned in the direction of the first and second side surfaces. On the first side surface of the main body 1, an LCD 2 is located for displaying an image photographed by the camera part 8. On the first side surface, an operating button 31 is provided for controlling the operation of the LCD 2.
