<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition switch for a two-wheeled vehicle, wherein operating characteristics are improved. SOLUTION: The ignition switch has an outer cylinder part; a partition wall which separates the outer cylinder part into an upper part and a lower part; a body composed of an inner cylinder part concentric with the upper outer cylinder part provided on the upper side of the partition wall; an operating knob, which has a piercing hole in the center, and which is fitted rotatably to an upper end of the outer cylinder part in a state that the inner cylinder part is inserted to the piercing hole; and a movable contact. A movable contact board which rotates in response to the operating knob, and a plurality of fixed contacts are provided. A fixed contact plate are provided on the body so as to face the movable contact board, and a key hole is formed in the center of the upper end, and a plurality of tumblers are loaded from a side direction. The tumblers are engaged with the inner cylinder part, and a cylinder is provided in the inner cylinder part in a state that one end thereof is fitted to the movable contact board. When a key is inserted to the key hole, the engaging of the cylinder and the inner cylinder part is released, the operating knob is operated and rotated in this state to rotate the cylinder and the movable contact board, and the fixed contacts are electrically connected by the movable contact.</p> |
