PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make shaft sealing means of a toner feeding roll of a developing device simple and to make its width in direction of a shaft small. SOLUTION: In the device, a notched part 26aK is provided in a container wall 26cF, a lip is provided integrally to an inner periphery of a hole of a sealing member 34 that is inserted into the notched part 26aK and a shaft 9jF and the lip are slid and moved. Therefore, sealing of the shaft is simplified and the length of a developer container 26 in the direction of the shaft can be shortened.
