PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device and an optical disk device which uses it, capable of correctly detecting reflected light by an optical disk of two laser beams, even when two semiconductor lasers are used. SOLUTION: The optical pickup device is provided with a first semiconductor laser, generating a laser beam of 650 nm wavelength and a second semiconductor laser, generating a laser beam of 780 nm wavelength, reflected light LB1 by a recording medium of the laser beam of 650 nm wavelength is detected by a first detecting part 811, divided into four parts of a first sensor 81 of a photodetector 8, reflected light by the recording medium of a main beam MLB2 generated from the laser beam of 780 nm wavelength is detected by a second detecting part 812 which is divided into either parts of the first sensor 81 of the photodetector 8, reflected light by the recording medium of a first sub-beam SLB21 generated from the laser beam of 780 nm wavelength is detected by a second sensor 82 of the photodetector 8, and a reflected light by the recording medium of a second sub-beam SLB22 generated from the laser beam of 780 nm wavelength is detected by a third sensor 83 of the photodetector 8. |
