PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which accurate correction to eliminate density deterioration due to the void of a boundary part is always performed without causing the increase of the size and the cost of the device as the image forming device in which the image data of a specified correction area extended from an edge to the area of a low dot area ratio is corrected by detecting an edge position in the case that an electrostatic dot latent image relatively changing from the area of a high dot area ratio to the area of the low dot area ratio by taking a specified edge as a boundary in accordance with the timewise order of development by a developing unit is formed on an image carrier.
