PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power consumption by suppressing useless standby current flowing through electric apparatuses such as a television receiver, a video, and a stereo, having a remote control or a sub switch, electric apparatuses such as a telephone, a facsimile machine and a computer ready for receiving or their power supply unit, or an AC adapter during a standby condition, thereby keeping only minimum power consumption needed for a standby function. SOLUTION: The primary side of a power supply circuit is energized intermittently to supply power needed for a standby circuit of the electrical apparatuses having the remote control or the sub switch to provide the minimum power consumption needed for the standby function. The switching or oscillating operation for supplying power is carried out intermittently for energization, and a power source for intermittent energization is disposed on the primary side, thus it is possible to conduct automatic resetting after startup or power failure. |
