PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera control system where a camera and a turning device automatically control the turning speed or the like in cooperation. SOLUTION: The camera control system, having a camera body 1 that can change an image pickup state, a turning device 2 that turns the camera body 1, and a controller 3 that gives control information to the camera body 1 and the turning device 2, is provided with a turning speed decision means that decides a turning speed of the turning device 2, on the basis of image pickup state control information instructing the image pickup state of the camera body 1 and with a turning control section 21 that applies turning control to the turning device 2, at the turning speed decided by the turning speed decision means.
