PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent nap-raising machine that can simultaneously achieve uniform nap-raising treatment and texture improvement through simplified adjustment. SOLUTION: This nap-raising machine is equipped with the circular treatment path 5 that is formed by connecting a holding tank 2 and a conveying path 4, the gas injector 6 that is attached to upstream end of the conveying path 4, the gas flow circulation path 7 that takes out the gas in the holding tank 2 and injects the gas from the gas injector 6 into the conveying path 4, and the hopper that feeds a granular chemical for surface polishing into the treatment path 5. By using the machine, the fiber product 1 is allowed to contact with the granular chemical in the treatment path 5 by the gas flow, while the fiber product 1 and the granular chemical are allowed to circulate, whereby the surface of the fiber product 1 is nap-raised.
