PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a charge data of a switch is provided to transmit a switch charge data to an external device using an X.25 protocol without the development of a switch LAN interface card for performing an interface with the external device. CONSTITUTION: A switch records a charge data in a charge disk and checks a state of an equipment, a kind of the equipment, and an interface state of the equipment for performing an interface between the switch and the external device equipment(S1). The external device equipment transmits a call request signal to the switch for being interlocked with the switch(S2). The switch senses a call request signal provided from the external device equipment(S3) and generates a confirm signal to transmit the generated confirm signal to the external device equipment(S4). In case that the confirm signal is not received from the switch within a uniform time, the external device equipment transmits the call request signal to the switch again(S5). In case that the confirm signal is received from the switch within the uniform time, the connection between the switch and the external device equipment is set(S6). The external device equipment transmits a transmission stop signal to the switch(S7). The switch receives the transmission stop signal from the external device equipment(S8), generates a transmission stop response signal, inserts a successive number of the charge data stored in a successive number of the charge disk into the transmission stop response signal, and transmits the successive number to the external device equipment(S9). The external device equipment receives the successive number of the charge data(S10), reads a successive number of data stored in an internal memory, and compares the read successive number with the received successive number of the charge data to determine whether data received from the switch exist(S11). If the successive number are identical to the received successive number of the charge data, the external device equipment generates a data request signal, inserts two information and a stored last successive number into the data request signal, and transmits the data request signal(S13).
