PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for manufacturing batteries that have little fear of liquid leak or gas permeation, lightweight and superior in stability and safety. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing thin batteries equipped with a reed electrode made of a valve action metal and armored with laminated film includes processes of exfoliating oxide film of the reed electrode at the portion at least corresponding to the sealing portion and of making the portion where oxide film is exfoliated contact with water.
