PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversal development system image forming device using a positive electrification type monolayer electrophotographic photoreceptor and being free of the occurrence of a transfer memory image and an exposure memory image. SOLUTION: The image forming device has a positive electrification type monolayer electrophotographic photoreceptor as an electrostatic latent image forming means and essentially comprises a main electrification step, an exposure step, a development step, a transfer step, a de-electrifying step and a cleaning step along the traveling direction of the photoreceptor. The polarity of voltage applied in the transfer step is negative, the polarity of voltage applied in the electrification step is positive and the de-electrifying step is situated on the downstream side of the transfer step and on the upper stream side of the cleaning step.
