PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device which can perform suitable imaging and projection, without being influenced by an object. SOLUTION: The projection type display device has a placing part 5 on which the object is placed, an imaging part 1 for imaging the object and a projection part 3 for projecting the object's image picked up with the imaging part 1, and an adjusting means is provided for adjusting the angle of the placing surface of the placing part 5 with respect to horizontal irrespective of the angle of projection of the projection part 4.
