PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently enlarge an operating part and thereby to secure an enough occupation space for an operator. SOLUTION: A part set back aslant rearward is formed on either the right or left side of the central part of the lateral width of the main body of a machine frame and a supporting point for fitting a boom bracket is so provided as to project from the set-back part, while an excavating operation part is fitted to the supporting point through the intermediary of the boom bracket so that it can rotate vertically and can swing laterally. The base end part of a swing cylinder is fitted to the other lateral side of the main body, while the fore end part of the swing cylinder is fitted to the boom bracket.
