SOLUTION: Concerning a solid-state image pickup device 100 located with solid-state imaging devices for N lines in the vertical direction and M pixels in the horizontal direction, a storage means 16 is provided for storing position information D1 of the defective pixel in a relevant solid-state imaging device Pij, a write area from the first line to the N th line is assigned to the storage means 16 beforehand for writing the position information of (m) defective pixels per line, and the position information D1 of the defective pixel generated later on the relevant line of the solid-state imaging device Pij is recorded in the write area of the storage means 16 corresponding to the relevant line.
