PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas discharge display such as a PDP having superior display performance, for sustaining good emission while restraining power consumption and voltage. SOLUTION: A pair of display electrodes have two bus lines, a plurality of inside protruded portions protruded from one bus line toward the other bus line of the two bus lines and a plurality of connections for electrically connecting the plurality of inside protruded portions. The line widths of the connections between the ends of the inside protruded portions are formed smaller than those of other connections. Thus, generation of electrons in discharge at the smallest electrode gap is reduced to a minimum and discharge is satisfactorily expanded between the next protruded portions.
