PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive pole active material for a lithium secondary battery and its manufacturing method improving the life, constant current charge amount, discharge potential, electric power, and high-temperature life characteristics. SOLUTION: The positive pole active material for the lithium secondary battery is provided with a metal oxide layer on its surface and contains a compound which is adhered with a lump of the above metal oxide and is selected from the group comprising the following chemical formula: LixMn1-yM 'yA2, LixMn1-yM'yO2-zAz, LixMn2O4-zAz, LixMn2-yM'yA4, LixB1-yM"yA2, LixBO2-zAz, LixNi1-yCoyO2-zAz, LixNi1-y-zCOyM"zAα, LixNi1-y-zMnyM'zAα (wherein 0.95<=x<=1, 1,0<=y<=0.5, 0<=z<=0.5, 0<=α<= 2, M' and M" are selected from A1, Cr, Co, Fe, Mg, Sr, V, Sc, Y, lanthanoide, actinoid element, A is selected from O, F, S and P, and B is selected from Ni and Co). |
