PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive fire-resistant cable and a fire-resistant cable free of a drip in flames and having an improved fire resistance. SOLUTION: The fire-resistant cable 10 or 15 has a conductor 2 coated with an insulating layer 3 and a fire-resistant layer 11 and further covered with a sheath 5. The fire-resistant layer 11 is formed of silicon rubber. Preferably the silicon rubber composing the fire-resistant layer is compounded with calcium carbonate or dry silica. |
