PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the parameter editing method of a PC for editing the parameter of a servo from a programming device regardless of the device kind of the servo. SOLUTION: This method sets the parameters of a programmable controller constituted of a CPU module 1 for performing ladder program decoding and a service to an input and output module, a motion module 3 for performing motion control by connecting a servo or the like, and a programming device 2 for changing a program in the CPU module and the motion module. In this case, servos 4 and 6 are provided with the text files of their own parameters, and the motion module is connected through communication 5 to the servos. When a request is issued from the programming device, the test files and their own parameters are transmitted to the programming device, and an editing operation is performed by the programming device, and the edited result is written from the programming device in the servos.
