PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscope charging device prevented from wasteful power consumption caused by leaving the stroboscope in a charging state for a long time. SOLUTION: When a current permitting the stroboscope to be charged by switching on a main switch SW1 is supplied to a transistor Tr3 of a charging circuit B1 for charging a main capacitor MC for flashing the stroboscope, the transistor Tr3 is activated and starts charging the main capacitor MC. When a certain time has passed after the current permitting the stroboscope to be charged is made to flow through the transistor Tr3, a timer circuit A3 cuts off the current by bringing the transistor Tr3 into a non-conduction state, and inhibits re-start of a charge circuit B1. A time until the transistor Tr1 has been brought into the non-conduction state is set as a time for fully charging a capacitor C1 with the base current of the transistor Tr1.
