PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP energy collecting device and a method therefor capable of optimally adjusting a timing of energy to be charged/discharged to/from PDP, and a high-speed addressing method using the same. SOLUTION: The device for collecting energy of the PDP by comprising a plasma display panel(PDP) Cp, a drive integrated circuit part 36A for driving the PDP, and PDP energy collecting circuit parts 100-300 for supplying energy to the PDP via the drive integrated circuit part 36A, charging until the time when a discharge output discharged from the PDP is minimized, and accelerating operating speed of the PDP by discharging again the electric charges charged in the PDP when the output is minimized, is produced.
