PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for settling payment for mail-order business, with which the payment can be made in a store without using a credit card in the form of mail-order business for ordering an article from a house. SOLUTION: In a managing center, an article code related to an article selected by a user out of an article catalog in the form of a magazine or the Internet, the store name code of a store designated by the user as a place for delivering the article and the price amount of this article are received, the article code, the store name code and the amount are converted to prescribed identification codes, the prescribed identification codes are converted to prescribed codes and the prescribed codes are transmitted to a company performing the mail-order business of articles and the user through a public line network or wireless network. The prescribed codes are recognized by a reading means installed in the store designated by the user and the payment is settled. |
