PURPOSE: A method for generating a differential code in a microprocessor is provided to generate a desired code data by receiving packet data instead of a circuit generating a differential code with a complex circuit. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of outputting a dummy bit to making the marking part maintain high before the first start data(304), discriminating the start, data, and stop bit by measuring the rotation number of the data(308), storing the data in an accumulator to transmit by measuring the data bit(318), inputting the value of time register at the time that a carry flag is '1' if the detected data bit is '1' and the value of time register at the time that the carry flag is '0' if the detected data bit is '0' to a preset buffer of timer(320), counting the time to measure the value of timer register and generating a commanding to take a complementary number of the serial output(326), repeating the previous step if the carry flag is '1' after initializing the flag to 0 in case of occurring a timer interrupt, or judging that the count of timer interrupt is 2 after the counter buffer is adder to '1' in case that the flag is not '1'(336), and progressing to the first step if the count of time interrupt is '2'(338) and progressing to the fourth step if not(320).
