PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten an interval from photographing to next photographing by unnecessitating the retrieval of an idle cluster or formation of a link by temporarily storing image data in a buffer memory until desired number of pieces of image data are provided. SOLUTION: In a consecutive photographing mode, corresponding to the operation of a shutter button 38, photographing is executed ten times. The image data provided by each of photographing are compressed according to a JPEG format and the compressed data are temporarily stored in buffer areas formed on a memory card 34 and divided for each cluster. When photographing for ten times is completed, 10 pieces of compressed data in the buffer areas are written in data areas inside the same memory card 34 according to an MS-DOS format and at the same time, the link is formed between related clusters. |
