PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unmanned carrier, capable of accurately recognizing the present position during traveling, even when magnetic bars are not arranged so as to be staggered to the right and to the left. SOLUTION: An unmanned carrier 1 is provided with magnetic detecting means 6a and 6b for successively detecting magnetic bodies 5, constituting a guide path which are arranged on a pair of parallel lines 3 and 4 virtualized along the both side positions of an interposed traveling guide line 2 and a traveling control means 7 for recognizing the present position during traveling, based on the order of detection of the magnetic bodies 5. The traveling control means 7 permits the continuous traveling as long as the stored order of detection and arranged positions of the magnetic bodies 5 are matched with the order of detection and arranged positions of the magnetic bodies 5, which are actually detected by the magnetic detecting means 6a and 6b, and when they do not matched with each other, the traveling control means 7 stops the traveling.
