PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device equipped with a lens barrier whose operability is improved. SOLUTION: As for the image pickup device for picking up an image, the device is provided with a lens part 22 for forming the image, the lens barrier 210 for protecting the lens part 22, and a connection part 222 for connecting the image pickup device and the outside of the image pickup device. The lens barrier 210 is provided with opening parts 212 and 214 for exposing the connection part 222 in accordance with the position of the lens barrier 210. The connection part 222 is arranged so as to be exposed to the opening parts 212 and 214 in a state where the lens part 22 is covered with the lens barrier 210.
