PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a ultraviolet absorptive low hydrous soft contact lens without the occurrence of a polymerization impediment by physicarry capturing a UV absorbent into the contact lens without elution and imparting a UV absorption property thereto. SOLUTION: The process for manufacturing the ultraviolet absorptive low hydrous soft contact lens is characterized in that the low hydrous soft contact lens is immersed into a solution (I) prepared by dissolving the UV absorbent into a swelling liquid and penetrating the UV absorbent into the swollen low hydrous soft contact lens, then removing the swelling liquid.
