SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element 18 is installed on the focus position V0 on a specification. When an object (page space P) is separated gradually from a lens 14, if an output change of the photoelectric conversion element 18 has increasing tendency, the photoelectric conversion element 18 is moved and adjusted to a position V2 in the approaching direction to the lens 14, and if the output change of the photoelectric conversion element 18 has decreasing tendency, the photoelectric conversion element 18 is moved and adjusted to a position V1 in the separating direction from the lens 14.
