PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a rotary four-way valve of an outdoor machine of, for example, an air conditioner that magnetic powders included in a refrigerant in a gear housing adhered on a drive rotor, thereby causing malfunction, by driving the driven rotor made of a magnetic substance in the gear housing through magnetic attraction force by means of a drive rotor including magnet by a motor provided outside of the gear housing. SOLUTION: An elastic brush 35 is provided on an outer peripheral face of a cylindrical part 34 protruding inward the gear housing 2. The elastic brush 35 is brought into slide-contact with an inner peripheral face of the driven rotor 14 surrounding the cylindrical part 34 to prevent the entry of a foreign matter in the refrigerant into a clearance S3 between the cylindrical part 34 of the gear housing 2 and the driven rotor 14 by the elastic brush 35 and prevent malfunction of the valve.
