<p>An electric service load limiter (100) limits the level of current a consumer receives from an electric utility power line by using controlled power relay switch (132) which interrupts the power line current when it exceeds a predetermined maximum level. A DC sensor signal produced by a converter (112) is compared by the voltage comparator (120) to a set-point voltage produced by a refernce circuit (116), and relates a condition through its output (124) and to the OR circuit (124). A logic circuit (128) is responsive to the condition of the OR circuit (124) to produce a signal when an overload occurs. A reset circuit (140) can produce a reset signal at its output (142) coupled to the power relay switch (132).</p> |
