The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for reducing the head resistance of moving objects whose surface is flowed round by liquid or gas. Said invention reduces the head resistance by reducing total pressure resistance. The inventive method consists in modifying direction of an approach flow by forming a rotatable flow near the moving object with the aid of surfaces. Said reflecting surfaces are arranged in such a way that they provide a flow leaving the moving object with a parallel direction with respect to the flow approaching the moving object. The centre of the rotatable flow is arranged at a distance which is greater than the thickness of a boundary layer of each reflecting surface. The inventive device comprises reflecting elements arranged on the moving body and forming the rotatable approach flow. The reflecting surfaces of the reflecting elements are spatially arranged according to billiard trajectories in such a way that they provide the flow leaving the moving object with a parallel direction with respect to the flow approaching the moving object. Distances between the reflecting surfaces are chosen in such a way that they satisfy a condition of locating the centre of flow rotation outside the reflecting elements, the rotatable flow being located at a distance greater than the thickens of the boundary layer of each reflecting surface.
