发明名称 Symmetrical bridle wires
摘要 1,039,154. Pianofortes. WURLITZER CO. April 28, 1964 [May 2, 1963], No. 17580/64. Heading G5J. A keyboard musical instrument in which a hammer 46 (Fig. 1) pivoted on a butt knuckle 48 strikes a string 28 on depression of a key 32 due to movement of a sticker 56 which actuates a wippen 62 and a fly 70, comprises a bridle wire 86 which consists of an elongated symmetrical shank 100 (Fig. 2) having a free end portion 106 adapted to be passed through a co-operating hole in a bridle strap 84 (Fig. 1). The bridle wire has a formation 110 on the shank defining a radial enlargement adapted to prevent the strap 84 from moving along the shank towards the other end portion 102. The formation on the shank of the bridle wire 86 may be in the form of an annular plate, a cylindrical collar or a knurled collar (Figs. 6, 7, 8, not shown) or it may comprise a plurality of flattened protrusions (Figs. 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, not shown). In order to prevent accidental migration of the strap towards the end 106 of the shank when the bridle wire has been assembled with the co-operating wippen 62 a bendable free end portion 106a (Fig. 4, not shown) or a second formation 112 (Fig. 2) which allows the strap to be forced on to the bridle wire between the two formations may be provided. A damper 96 which may be provided for each string of the keyboard instrument may be arranged to retract from contact with its string immediately in advance of the hammer 46 striking the string.
