The connector has a plastics housing part (6) and a metal contact pin (2) fixed to the housing, and penetrating it so that the other end of the contact pin protrudes from the other side of the housing. The contact pin is positively connected to a plastics intermediate piece (4) which is arranged in a recess (16) of the housing. The peripheral surfaces (14) of the intermediate piece are materially connected to the wall surfaces of the recess. An Independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing a tab connector.
