The exercise machine has a body (14) at one end and movable along a curved swivel-mounted rail (2) and possessing a hand-operated handle (16) at the other end. The length between the handle and rail is changeable. the body has a spring pretensioning it towards its shortest length. The body has a swivel-mounted and fixable paddle (20) increasing its resistance to water.
