Reagents which regulate human DBI/ACBP-like protein binding activity and reagents which bind to human DBI/ACBP-like protein gene products can be used to regulate cell proliferation. Such regulation is particularly useful for treating malignant cells, neurological diseases, and regulating steroid biosynthesis.
