<p>An optical disc drive in which loop gain regulation of a focus/tracking servo is converged normally even in case of an optical disc having an unrecorded area and a recorded area mixedly and the servo system operates stably even if the gain varies significantly due to variation of the disc state. When an optical disc type recognizing means (22) recognizes the loaded optical disc as a recordable optical disc, an optical pickup (1) is moved to a preset area for seeking in order to regulate the loop gain. When the gain varies during operation, a gain regulation means (10) changes a gain regulation value.</p> |
