<p>Altered ion channel proteins having acquired sensitivity to gating agents are disclosed. The invention is directed towards those ion channels that are refractory to gating agents. The altered ion channel proteins are of use in identifying modulators of the unaltered ion channel. Host cells, vectors and screening assays are also disclosed.</p> |
