Testing compounds for effect on protein assembly, useful in development of carcinostatic or cytocidal agents, by fluorescence correlation spectroscopy

Method for investigating active agents (I) that are intended for modulating intracellular processes by: (1) adding test compounds to an assembly equilibrium of proteins (A) that are capable of assembly; and (2) after adding a fluorescently labeled monomer and/or dimer, taking a fluorescent correlation spectroscopy (FCS) measurement. An Independent claim is also included for a device for performing the new method.
