摘要 A nucleotide detector (10) consisting of nanometer-sized gold particles (12) of about 6 nm in diameter, which are arranged on a base board 11 at a high density and a high accuracy (at intervals of about 12 nm), and single-stranded DNAs 13 (thiol DNAs) having sulfur at the terminus and bonded respectively to the gold particles (12). Since the thiol DNAs are uniformly provided on the whole substrate (11) at a high density and a high accuracy, a strong and stable fluorescent intensity can be obtained when fluorescence labeled DNAs are hybridized with the thiol DNAs. Thus, the detector is usable as a high-performance DNA sensor showing an extremely high SN ratio.
