A combined weft clamp and cutter for air jet looms comprises: (i) a fixed (10) and a movable (9) cutter blade and clamp jaws (13,14); where: (a) either the clamp (13,14) or the cutter (9,10) can be moved relative to each other in a horizontal plane in order to adjust their distance apart (8). Also claimed is a yarn clamp with jaw(s) (13,14) of elastic material or faced with an elastic material (14a).
