Cosmetic composition in aqueous solid gelform, containing polyvinyl alcohol, and process for the preparation of said composition

A cosmetic composition comprising a cosmetically acceptable medium and presenting as an solid aqueous gel comprising at least one polyvinyl alcohol polymer. The polyvinyl alcohols comprise units of Formula (I)-(-CH2-CHOH-)- or possibly of Formula (II) -(-CH2-CH(OCOCH3)-)-. If of Formula (II) they represent no more than 5 mol.% of the whole polymer. The composition has a measure of constraint of 200-10000 Pa, preferably 500-5000 Pa and more preferably 1000- 4000 Pa. An Independent claim is included for the treatment of skin, mucous membrane or keratinic fibres by applying to it the claimed composition.
