The assembly to handle hot fluids, and especially a hot fluid rotary pump (1), has a shaft (3) through a sealing zone (5) with at least one sliding ring seal (6). The fluid taken from the pump (1) cools the sliding ring seal. An insulating section (9) is at or in the wall surface (8) of the sealing zone (5), towards the pump. The thermal conductivity of the insulation (9) is at least 30% less than the housing section (7) which holds the sealing zone (5) at the pump (1). |
